And we are having......

A girl!!! This is her front facial view. Carl was not a happy camper at all! He said "I wanted a boy"! Bless his wittle heart. She weighs 13oz according to measurements. She has her nasal bone, which is a good sign. I do have to go back in 2 weeks for a repeat sonogram. They were not able to see the right side of the heart because of the position she was in, they want to just be sure all is well. I am believing it is. They did not seem alarmed so I am not going to be either.

It was very hard to not lose my water before the ultrasound. They let me go " a little bit" and told me I had to stop, not to empty it completely. So, then I finally got back to my sonogram, it was awful! I had to go so bad and she was rubbing the doppler all over my stomach. Finally she said go fill this cup and empty a little extra then stop again. So There I went looking for sweet relief....lol  So I manage to to do that and was placing in the cubby when the spring filled door slipped, knocking the cup of "liquid" EVERYWHERE! I said out loud, "No You Didn't Just do that"! So, there I go cleaning their bathroom up and had to do another sample.  I told them when I came out what had happened and they went in to sterilize it all. I could not believe that happened!

I had a good blood pressure, but my weight , ugh, I gained 10lbs! YIKES! Not at all what I wanted to do! I don't know why I gained that much. I do not appear to be retaining water. Maybe it's just time to gain. I gues 10lbs in my 20 weeks isn't so bad??

Now that we know what we are having the fun shopping begins. I do need to get the poles for the baby's travel pen. Maybe I can find a set at Target and put on my registry. Matter of fact I am going there now. :)

Trying to drink my 40 oz of water to ready for my appointment! Should be fun to see if I can hold it. lol

Today is the day!

Today is the day! Be sure to check back here in a couple hours and see what we are having! I am getting ready for my Appointment now. Jasper says Girl, I really don't know. Carl says he won't love it unless it's a boy.... of course we know that will fade once he holds his baby sister...if it is a girl that is... and Rebecca will love her baby brother...if it is a boy.

Renee wants a girl to even things up. JJ, not sure he cares either way. lol

Okay that's it for now.

20 Weeks 1 Day

20 weeks 1 day!
~Pam

I am 43 today!

I woke today with Jasper coming to my bedside wishing me a Happy Birthday before he left for work. Rebecca was up early waiting for me to get up so she could tell me herself. Renee took Rebecca and Carl to the store  to buy me some gifts. I thought that was sweet of her. So now they are waiting for Jasper to return for lunch so they can give me gifts. Carl is getting upset because he can't help get things ready. But Bella Grace is asleep and he will wake her up. lol

I will post again and share what they gave me!

Going to pick up the key to the new house in the morning! Best birthday gift ever!
~Pam

20 Weeks!

I have made it half way through! I am feeling baby move more and more. I still use the doppler daily to listen to his/her tiny heart beating. It is music to my ears. :)
Last night I was hurting and discovered why this morning. Yesterday when I listened the heartbeat was at the bottom of my abdomen, today I found on top! So the discomfort I had last night was baby turning.
Friday I am scheduled for an ultrasound. If baby is laying right we should know what we are having! I will post it!
I am feeling the usual symptoms: Sleepiness, shortness of breath, heartburn.... the usual. My pelvis is still just a little sore. Only when I do a lot in a day is it very sore. I already know the cure for that! :)

It gets busy from this point on

I may not post as much in the next few weeks. We have so much going on these days. I have next week planned, that is Kids permitting. They have all had some sort of sickness or another. I have to clean out some junk this week and sort through kids toys. I will be packing things getting ready for our move, which will either be middle of April or first of May. I get winded easy so it will take all I got to get things done. No fear, kids will be helping! :) As I think of things that need to be done, I write them down. I know I will never remember them all! I am hoping this is our last move until the final move to Glory!

Moving Plans

We have decided to take the entire month of April and work on the house and get it ready for move in. We have painting to do, and floor covering to lay. I found at Lowes they have laminate floor covering for $.68 a sq ft. That is an excellent price! We want to put the laminate in the kitchen, dining area, and the stove room. Then have carpet in the livingroom. It will be hard to come up with the money, but I am hoping to go through all the junk here and perhaps raise enough in a yard sale. I dunno how well it will do, we will see.
So, it looks like May is move in month, and it will be by the 5th. I am really excited! Our own home again! The house has lots of major things to be done, but we are looking forward to doing it all and watching the transformation! We have almost all we need in blue vinyl siding to wrap the house. We will add on in a year probably to the house. And maybe the following year as well. Before long it will be a pretty home instead of an eye sore!

Sickness in the house!

This has been a very hard few weeks in our home. All the younger children keep coming down with some sort of illness. Mainly Fevers! Some of these fevers are pretty bad. Rebecca's just the other day got up to 104! I do NOT like those kind of fevers!

Bella-Grace, Carl, and then Rebecca...that is the order this time that this illness has manifested. First a croupy cough, then fever sets in. No appetite and very very irritable. I feel bad for each one.
Today I will wipe down everything yet again, and buy/change out their toothbrushes. My hopes is that it will help.

A Diamond In The Rough!

Here it is, our Diamond in the rough!
When you look at these, picture in your mind new vinyl siding, new doors, and screen doors as well. As for the tin roof we will paint it with sealer.

Notice the big back yard!

Looks Like we will be moving!

We went today and looked at the house we were told about. It is an old farm house on 2 acres of land and we are excited! It has 5 small bedrooms, and a super small kitchen. But the thought of it being "ours" just has me so excited! It will take a little time, but I know we can make a sweet home for our family with it. It's like a diamond in the rough right now, but one day it will sparkle so fine!

I am not looking forward to down sizing, but I know we can do it. There is a storage building for some things and that will surely help! I have so much to do and so little time! We want to move as fast as we can. I will be sure to keep it posted here of our progress, but if you don't hear from me in a while it is because of trying to get it done! :)

We had a good weekend. I accomplished what I had set out to do for the day on Saturday. Jasper has had it so rough lately. He has been working long hours for sure. On top of all the work hours there is an Easter play the church is working on. So he has play practice Saturday and Monday nights, plus Jail service on Thursday nights. So he is pretty pooped!

Yesterday evening we drove to a town called Front Royal. It's about an hour from here through some beautiful mountain scenic views. I really enjoyed the ride. Jasper preached for Pastor Childers. It was a good service and the people were very friendly. Afterward we went out for a bite with the Pastor and his family. It was nearly 11 before we were on the road home.

Once home and everyone in bed, it was about the time I dozed off that Rebecca woke me up saying she felt sick. She wound up waking me up another time too and I made her sleep on the couch so that she would be closer to the bathroom. It turned out she just ate too late in the night and it wasn't settling well. She eventually went to sleep and did not get sick. I was glad for her for that.

Bella Grace is sick again. It seems we have so much sickness in the house lately. You no sooner get one well and another child falls ill. I have bought Lysol disinfectant wipes to wipe everything down. Hopefully this will help!

I have several things to do today. Hopefully I will get them done! I have so much to go through. I dread it. Down sizing will not be easy!

It's Saturday again!

I have some plans for the day, not much though. Mainly housework. It never goes away. But in the end when finished you feel good that you did it. I have been working room by room to get a grip on the house because we know we will be moving soon. I feel that it will be much easier to pack if I have everything in it's place when the time comes. So far it's going well. I have so many plans in my head going around and around. I hope we will be able to see them go into action!
I think this time I am really excited about a move. It's weird. Maybe because we will have the opportunity to own a home again??? I dunno. But, I am excited and ready to do it!
Along the way I am also doing some deep cleaning to some areas that once we do begin to move it will hopefully help it not be so hard on my doing the final cleaning of this house. I do say I hope. I will be close if not 6 months along and I am sure I will be slowing down a bit by then.
So I am trying to stay on top of the laundry, as long as the well holds out, and keep everything caught up.
Jasper brought home some things that will help in the other house. Carpet, lazy Susan cabinet, and some vinyl siding! All brand new items about to be tossed by the company he has been doing some work for. He has also in the past gotten some Vinyl floor covering. I plan to have these all put to use in the other house fairly quickly. I hope that it will make the house look a lot nicer.

Well the laundry needs to be moved to the dryer. Then I need to get ready to go get a few supplies from DG, and begin my housecleaning. Have a great weekend everyone!

Possible Move Coming...

We have been having issues for a while with the septic system of our current rental house. The Landlord worked hard and finally got us draining properly again. We know however this is only temporary. It will stop up again. So with that in mind and the fact we have always have had well problems, we are thinking moving might be in our best interest. So, I have been trying to clean out and get rid of things we do not need. I went through all of Carl's outgrown clothes and wound up with 3 bag fulls! I posted them on freecycle and poof they were gone! I need to go through Rebecca's things too. I first have to sort through that back porch we are using for storage. I probably have 50 to 60 boxes of stuff. I have had this packed since we moved from Georgia to hear. Okay lets be reasonable, If I have not used this stuff in nearly 3 years, why on earth am I keeping it?? So I will go through it and toss the majority of it....I hope...lol

Matter of fact, I better get this posted and get started or I will never get finished!

18 Weeks!!

I cannot believe I have gotten to this point! It seems unreal. I feel slight movement now. Baby is size of a bell pepper they say. I am hoping this means we will make it to 38-39 weeks, and have a precious baby to hold and love and watch grow.

I was nerve racked earlier in the week because I had run out of my Progesterone Cream. I went 36 hours with out it and was having cramps which made me very nervous. I was so glad when my order arrived. Cramping is gone now. I am back to normal...as normal as I can be lol

I am having increased soreness in my pelvis. I mainly notice it in the afternoon. After I have been cleaning and just up on my feet doing the normal household stuff. It is just part of it for the next 20 weeks. I have decided not to clean the church anymore until I am healed up from having the baby. So that will probably be sometime in October/November.
Other than the pelvis issue I feel really good. I had some issues with fast heart rate, but I was a little dehydrated. Once I began taking in more fluids I was better.

It's hard when they leave.... JJ moved out last night. I knew it was coming. He will be getting married soon and we may have to move because of certain issues with this house. He just didn't want to have to move twice. So, my baby boy has become a man. It just isn't easy letting go. :(

Rebecca is sick now. Poor baby. It seems like everyone is getting something one by one. I am concerned she may have strep throat. Watching her closely. I think Carl is finally on the mend. He has not had any meds today!

Friday, March 9, 2012

It's already starting...

I am 17 weeks and have noticed that my pelvis is getting sore. It is hard to believe I have gotten to this point already! I notice when getting up from a sitting position and from bed. It is mild right now. If I do anything like I did with Carl, it will be bad very soon. It is so worth it though. I actually bought a yellow striped onsie the other day. It was the first thing I have bought. I am so hopeful and getting so excited. August will be here before I know it!

Poor Carl

Since Monday, Carl has been fighting a rotten fever. The mornings the fever is down making you think it is gone, only to return meaner than ever. He shivers from the chills. He had a bit of stomach trouble at first but that has stopped. No other symptoms, though I am sure they will manifest soon. The poor guy feels horrible. Many people are praying for him. I know it is helping. God is faithful, He will heal this sickness. We just have to trust Him.

16 weeks 1 day

Finally! I feel Movement!

I am finally feeling the baby. I have always felt my babies at 12 or 13 weeks, but because of the c-section I must be numb inside too. It still feels strange but it is movement. FINALLY!

Test Results Already In...

I had a very quick and painless test. Of course we all know Ultra Sounds are completely painless! :)
They registered me and had me in in probably less than 10 minutes. The best part was they had a Dr right there to read the results and he said it was just FAT! Yay! lol. I am going to see if I can get it removed or if that would even be worth the trouble. I joked with the staff about liposuction. lol

That takes care of Dr appointments until the 30th. I go at 8 a.m. for that. So, all is looking good at this point.
I am just waiting on my new 4 oz container of Progesterone Cream to get here. I am running a bit to low for comfort! It should be here soon. I order from Amazon. If I have to I will go to the health store and buy some! I need it until 35 weeks I think is what I was told. I am sure it will be here soon. :)

17 Weeks!

Here we are! I am so glad to say we have reached this point in the pregnancy. I still don't feel baby move like I did with my others, but we know it is very very active. I hear it bump the doppler and when we had the ultrasound the tech almost could not get measurements because of all the movement! I think it is because of the c-section I had with Carl. My stomach is numb on the outside in the area the baby is laying and so it may be that way on the inside as well. Dr agreed it could be.
At 19.5 weeks I will be half way through my pregnancy! That's not far from now, only 2 and a half weeks!
I canceled the big ultrasound in Charlottesville and they will either do one when I go on the 30th or schedule me to come 2 weeks after that for their informative Ultrasound. That is when we should know if we have a boy or girl.
Finding a name is not easy at all. I told some that I believe pulling teeth is easier. I want a regular, old fashioned name, but one that is not too old and one not used that much. I have a couple girl ones, but really not any boy names that we agree on. If an of my readers have a suggestion please leave a comment!

Good News!

I had bloodwork drawn when I went to the Dr, unlike in my past pregnancies, I let them do the NT screening. I think that is what it is. Anyway it checks for several serious defects, like Downs Syndrome, and the Trisomy defects. It came back negative for all.
Before getting this result we decided not to have the big scan in Charlottesville on April 11, and just let the Dr.'s office use their machine. If something looks suspicious we will go at that time to seek further testing.
I go tomorrow for my ultrasound under my arm. Not really looking forward to that. Hopefully all will be well. I will post when I get back.

Waiting...

The health dept has yet to arrive. Our Landlord has gone to call them and see what is taking them so long. It is sort of nerve racking.
